Windsor police are asking the public for help identifying a man after a violent assault on Seminole Street.

Police received a call at 1:15 a.m. on April 2 to assist EMS with a 25-year-old victim bleeding from the face in the 4000 block of Seminole Street.  A witness located the victim and called 911. 

The victim was transported to hospital by ambulance.  He underwent surgery due to a skull fracture and a “brain bleed.”  He also suffered a swollen left eye and bruising on his chest.

 Through investigation, police have determined that the victim was assaulted by two male suspects.  The assault was captured on video from a nearby business. 

Police say the video shows that the victim was beat with what appears to be a bat or club. 

Additional security video from a second business shows the suspects walking away after the assault.  One suspect appears to be carrying a bat, while the second suspect appears to be carrying a section of pipe.

Police were able to identify one of the suspects in the video and on he turned himself in at Windsor Police Headquarters on April 7.

 Kennon Ball, 42, from Windsor has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

Police are still looking for the second suspect.

 

The victim remains in hospital with serious injuries.
