The list is growing for the number of candidates running in Windsor’s Ward 7 byelection.
The runner-up in the ward for the last municipal election has officially entered the race. Angelo Marigniani signed up at city hall Friday morning, making it seven contenders so far.
Other candidates committed to running are Stavros Gavrilidis, former councillor Tom Wilson, Ernie the Baconman, Robin Fortier, Steve Farrell and Tosin Bellow.
Candidates must be a Canadian citizen at least 18 years old and a resident of Windsor or a non-resident owner or tenant of land in the city. The nomination filing fee is $100.
The deadline for nominations is Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. The byelection will be held on Dec. 9.
