One person is dead following a residential fire in Wallaceburg early Tuesday morning.
Police say just before 4 a.m. emergency crews responded to the fire on Nelson Street between James Street and Wellington Street.
One person was found dead inside the residence. The age, name and gender of the deceased individual have not been released
The exact address of the fire is not known. The block of Nelson Street between James and Wellington has several commercial buildings with walk up residents on the upper floors.
More information is expected to be released later Tuesday.
Police and fire investigators are on scene and Nelson is closed between James Street and Wellington Street.
