Windsor RCMP officers seized contraband tobacco, a car and money after executing search warrants at two residences in the city.

Five Windsor residents are facing charges.

Investigators executed simultaneous raids at homes located in the 3900 block of Maple Leaf Crescent and the 700 block of Vanier Street in Windsor.

Police seized about 1,145 cartons of contraband tobacco, 10 kilograms of contraband water pipe tobacco, about $2,000 cash and a 2010 Honda Civic automobile.

Abdallah Al-Latif , 49, is charged with unlawfully possessing unstamped tobacco; unlawfully possessing unstamped tobacco for sale and possession of proceeds of crime.

Zeinab AL-Asadi ,38, is charged with unlawfully possessing unstamped tobacco for sale and possession of proceeds of crime.

Mohammed Al-Latif, 20, is charged with unlawfully possessing unstamped tobacco for sale and possession of proceeds of Crime

Alqasim Al-Latif, 19, is charged with unlawfully possessing unstamped tobacco for sale and possession of proceeds of crime and obstruction.

Mansuri, Adnan, 48, is charged with unlawfully possessing unstamped tobacco and unlawfully possessing unstamped tobacco for sale.

All five were released and scheduled to appear on Dec. 22 in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.
