Brave participants are planning on rappelling down Windsor’s tallest building to support Ontario’s children and youth with physical disabilities.

The event, called Easter Seals Drop Zone Windsor, is taking place on the side of the 27-storey Caesars Windsor building on Sept. 17.

Easter Seals Ontario and casino officials announced the details on Tuesday.

“This event is truly unique and people seeking adventure and looking to challenge themselves, all while benefitting a great organization in our community,” says David Lenz, senior development officer for Easter Seals Ontario.

Participants must raise a minimum of $1,500 in donations as well as take part in a training session with experts, who will guide them on the day of the event.

“We are pleased and honoured to partner with Easter Seals to provide the backdrop for what will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Kevin Laforet, President and CEO, Caesars Windsor.

Windsor is one of 17 Canadian cities to host a Drop Zone event in 2013.
