A home on Malden Hill drive was left with extensive damage following a fire Thursday evening.
Amherstburg fire crews were called to the house fire at 5 p.m.
Neighbours told CTV News that they heard a loud bang coming from one of the homes in the area. When they rushed outside they saw the front porch on fire.
Fire officials say the fire started near a barbeque and one person suffered a minor injury to their arm.
Damage to home the set at $170,000.
