Windsor police say they are looking for a robber who got away after being locked inside a convenience store by the employee.
Officers were called to the store in the 1000 block of Albert Road on Monday at about 10:30 p.m.
Police spoke to the complainant, who was the clerk working at the time.
Investigation revealed that male suspect entered the store and immediately approached the front counter.
The complainant told police the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded cash. The suspect then allegedly went behind the counter and attempted to open the register.
While the suspect was focused on the register the clerk ran out of the store and locked the door from the outside. The complainant ran to a neighbour and called the police.
The clerk returned when officers arrived and found that the lock on the door was broke off and the suspect was gone. Police say at this point there doesn't appear to be anything missing.
