A Windsor solar company is getting a red flag from the Better Business Bureau.
In a release, BBB is urging consumers to use caution when purchasing solar energy generating systems from Certified Solar Inc. for the purpose of selling solar energy to Ontario Power Authority.
The warning comes after the BBB received 43 complaints against Certified Solar since February 2013. BBB says the company has responded to most of those complaints, but adds some have gone unresolved.
“Several of the complaints allege promised refunds that have not been fulfilled,” said bureau spokesperson Deborah Brady in the release.
The bureau has revoked Certified Solar’s accreditation and has issued an “F” rating.
Windsor police also tells CTV News they have started making inquiries about the company.
