A Windsor man says he hasn’t got much sleep since winning $1 million with his Encore selection.
Lawrence Scully matched all seven winning numbers on his Encore picks on Sept. 30.
Sully woke his wife up to share the exciting news, according to a news release from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
“I said to her, ‘Please get up and come see the numbers to be sure. I think I won $1 million,’” said Scully.
He said she went right to the computer to check the numbers. After that they were both wide awake.
“Needless to say, we have not had much sleep since the big win and here I am at the Prize Centre excited about the future,” said Scully.
Lawrence has big plans for his windfall.
“Right away, my wife says we’re getting a fridge,” he said. “We love our home and may also put an addition on the main floor. We enjoy traveling and our first adventure will be a first class cruise in Hawaii. We would also love to take a river cruise in Europe.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Quick Stop Variety on Hanna Street in Windsor.
