Those who like to bet on horses in Windsor and Essex County are upset with the new site for off-track betting at a local nightclub.
This comes after Windsor lost its live racetrack.
The players are calling for the Ontario Racing Commission to immediately suspend Club Alouette's license Saturday.
"It's not a teletheatre operation it's a money grab," says Judy Dent.
Offtrack horseplayers of Windsor and Essex County say they've had enough.
"What you have is a bar set up with TV's thrown up on the wall," says Wayne Craig.
Bettors say the building is not family friendly, has limited tellers, outdated machines and can take up to 72 hours to collect a winning ticket.
The club added a teletheatre after Windsor Raceway closed its doors last summer.
That came after the provincial government announced the ending of its games revenue-sharing arrangement with Ontario's horse racing industry.
But club members say this is the first time they are hearing of such concerns.
"I'm surprised by it because it seems that all the players are happy to be here," says Yvon LeVaoie, Club Alouette vice president.
Horseplayers are now calling on the Ontario Racing Commission to immediately suspend Toldo's license or hold a public hearing to determine if the licence should be extended.
As for live racing, boycotters say they are waiting to hear back from a proposal that will add 10 race dates to the Leamington Fairgrounds.
If deemed successful, it could mean a new race track in Lakeshore in the near future.
