George Lopez

Actor, talk show host and stand-up comedian George Lopez is returning to The Colosseum stage on Saturday night. The last time he was in town to perform at Caesars Windsor in February 2014, he was arrested. A photo surfaced on social media appearing to be Lopez sprawled out on the casino floor.  Two weeks after the incident, he told The Ellen Show he stopped drinking alcohol. The comedian’s career also encompasses TV and film. His stand-up comedy features race and ethnic relations, including Mexican-American culture. There are only a few single tickets remaining for the show.

Steely Dan

Some classic rock legends will also be at the casino this weekend. Steely Dan has sold over 40 million albums and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Some of their hits include: “Reelin’ in the Years” and “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number.” Band co-founder and guitarist Walter Becker passed away in September at the age of 67. The group decided to go ahead with the fall tour dates in his honour. There are still some tickets available for Friday’s concert.

Windsor Symphony Orchestra - Bach & Sons

The Windsor Symphony Orchestra finishes its cycle of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos on a program with works by three of his sons. The performances take place at the Leamington Mennonite Church on Saturday night and at The Heritage Auditorium in Windsor on Sunday afternoon. windsorsymphony.com

The Snow Sisters - The Musical

The Snow Sisters - The Musical is at The Chrysler Theatre on Sunday. This show uses the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale “The Snow Queen” as it’s source material. Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite princess. Showtimes are 11 am and 2 pm, Tickets $25 and up.
