Environment Canada has ended a special weather statement calling for a risk of thunderstorms.

The forecaster says a warm front associated with a low pressure system will move eastward through southwestern Ontario, central Ontario, and the Golden Horseshoe on Thursday.

A few thunderstorms were predicted in the trough. Localized rainfall up to 25 millimetres was possible in isolated thunderstorms.

ERCA officials say that the region actually needs rain. More specifically farmers, now that the spring melt is nearly over, it couldn't hurt to get some precipitation out on the wheat fields before it's time to turn the land.
