A survey of homelessness in Windsor indicates on any given night about 200 people are without permanent shelter.

More than 200 volunteers fanned out across parts of the city in three shifts for a 24-hour period last April.

The city received $41,000 to participate in the first ever Point in Time Count partnering strategy on homelessness.

It’s hoped the findings will allow city officials to better measure progress to end chronic homelessness.
