Investigators say a third adult male has come forward with allegations as they continue to look into the past of a retired reverend for historical sexual offences involving school-aged male children.
Harry Brydon, 65, has been arrested and charged with an additional two counts of administering a noxious substance, one count of sexual assault dating back to 1985 and failing to attend court.
Brydon made a court appearance on Oct. 10, and was remanded into custody until Tuesday.
Police says Brydon was employed as a reverend at St. Paul’s Anglican Church at 18 Dolsen Road in Chatham between 1984 and 1988 where the alleged victims and their families were members of the congregation.
Investigators want to ensure there are no other victims and are asking anyone with information to contact Const. Lori Timpson of the Chatham-Kent’s Major Crime Unit at 519-436-6600 Ext. #267.
