Police are investigating after they say a sale on an internet classifieds website resulted in a theft from a south Windsor home.
A complainant informed Windsor police that she had placed an ad for the sale of two televisions on Kijiji this month. Arrangements were made with a buyer to have him attend her residence and pick up the items.
A man and a woman – both people of interest – attended the residence on June 19. Once the two left, that’s when police say the complainant noticed her purse was missing.
The woman immediately called to cancel her credit cards and learned that an attempted purchase was made with one of her cards at a local gas station.
Police say they’ve identified the person of interest and are continuing their investigation.
