Caesars Windsor employees are headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a tentative agreement.

Roughly 2,300 service staff will vote on the agreement in three waves at the Caboto Club, starting at 11 a.m. Another wave is scheduled for 3 p.m., with the final one taking place at 7 p.m.

CTV Windsor’s Sacha Long is at the Caboto Club, where workers tell her they’re pleased with the agreement.

The four year tentative deal breaks down like this:

  • In year one, full time employees get a $1,500 signing bonus.
  • In year two, workers receive a $0.25 wage increase and a $250 lump sum payment for full time workers.
  • In year three, full time employees get a $750 lump sum payment.
  • In year four, employees receive a $0.35 wage increase.

Other highlights include payout of sick days, better recall language, and improved benefits.

On Monday, Caesars Windsor stated in a voice message that they would be closing their hotel Tuesday into Wednesday in case the agreement was reject.

Unifor Local 444 and casino management reached the tentative deal Friday after roughly 40 hours of bargaining.
