Dog rescued from ice on Lake St. Clair re-united with owner

A stranded dog that was rescued from the ice on Lake St. Clair has been re-united with its owner.

KC the dog is back home with his owner Jodi Enchich of St. Clair Shores after the 14-year-old dog was rescued off the ice on Lake St. Clair.

The U.S. Coast Guard discovered KC four miles from shore on Monday. He had run away from home on Feb. 23.

After being inspected by veterinarians, he was diagnosed with frostbite to his paws and he lost a significant amount of weight, but seems to be making a recovery.
