After speaking at the University of Windsor Monday morning, David Suzuki heard from representatives of local groups and individuals working on blue green algae initiatives at Hillman Marsh.

“We are looking to find a different way of solving our problems,” says Suzuki.

After a harmful algal bloom forced the posting of Hillman beach in August, Suzuki says he's concerned about the blooms that are happening.

He says he'd like to find out what is causing it.

Local high school students were among those in attendance this afternoon. Suzuki believes the youth of today are much more involved with environmental issues, compared to when he grew up.
