A Windsor man is facing criminal harassment and child porn charges after a complaint from a 12-year-old girl.
Windsor police were called to a residence on Nov.3 for a report of a suspicious person who had been following a 12-year-old girl.
Officers spoke to the girl and her mother. They say the girl was approached by a man in a vehicle in the area of the 5000 block of Raymond Avenue. Police say the 53-year-old suspect, who the girl knows, began speaking to her.
Police later arrested the man for criminal harassment. After further investigation, detectives executed a warrant on the male's phone and tablet that were seized from his vehicle in search of photos or videos of the victim.
Police say no photos or videos were found of the 12-year-old girl, but officers found an image of a second young female that he appeared to be watching. This girl was identified and he was charged with an additional count of criminal harassment.
Officers also say they found evidence of child pornography on his devices.
Perry Maeckeler, 53, of Windsor is charged with two counts of criminal harassment, unlawfully accessing child pornography and unlawfully possessing child pornography.
