Farmer-owners of Agris Co-operative are holding the official opening of a new $2.6-million fertilizer storage and blending facility in Cottam on Tuesday.

The new investment of more than $2.6 million by Agris Co-operative owners is expected help improve farm productivity and benefit the local economy.

It will increase the previous blending capability to 200 metric tons per hour, eight times faster than before. The storage capacity increases to 4500 MT, nine times their previous capacity, significantly improving loading and efficiency for owners and customers.
