A mother at the center of a court case involving the ultra-Orthodox Jewish sect Lev Tahor spoke out against child services, in an open letter sent to CTV News.
The letter discusses the family’s struggle since leaving Quebec in November, amid an investigation into alleged child neglect. The woman also talks about alleged religious persecution by the children's services workers.
Due to a court order, issued to protect the identities of those involved with this case, sections of the letters have been blacked out. These sections contained names, or identifying features.
Child services in Chatham was not available for comment. The Quebec division of children's aid says they have no comment at this time.
