Windsor-Essex will see its first real snowfall Friday according to Environment Canada.
A “disturbance” from the Southern Plains States is forecast to track towards the Great Lakes. As a result Environment Canada says this snow system is expected to reach Southwestern Ontario Friday night, and then spread into the northeast Saturday.
The system is predicted to bring 10 to 15 cm of snowfall by Saturday night. Environment Canada says this will be the first significant snowfall of the season for many regions across Ontario. Areas west of Lake Ontario could see even more than what’s predicted. Areas near the north shore of Lake Erie also run the chance of seeing higher amounts of snow.
Motorists should be prepared for poor winter driving conditions after the snow arrives Saturday.
