Ikea is looking for about 35 workers for Windsor’s pick-up and order point location.

Company officials say the new employees will be welcome into an engaging environment with a strong focus on people and their professional growth.

Ikea, named by Forbes Magazine as one of the best employers in Canada, says it has several initiatives that make it a great place to work, including industry-leading compensation and benefits, co-worker discount program, interest-free co-worker purchase program and Group RRSP Contribution program.

Corporate press officer Stephanie Kerr says they will be sharing the official opening date for Windsor in a few weeks.

When the company made the announcement in October, spring 2016 was listed as the target opening.

The Windsor pick-up point is planned for the old Future Shop site on Walker Road. It will be about 35,000 square feet.
