Windsor Police are looking for a suspect following a sexual assault on the front lawn of
Kennedy Collegiate Institute near Jackson Park.
Investigators say the 18-year-old female was cutting across the high school property when she was confronted by a man with a knife around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say following the sexual assault, the suspect fled on foot heading toward Windsor Avenue.
The victim received medical attention after police were contacted through a family member.
They found a knife in the area.
The suspect is described as a man between 25 to 30 years old, and 5’10” to 5'11” tall with an average build. He had jet black hair which may have been pulled back and thick dark eyebrows. He was wearing a black sleeveless T-shirt and shorts.
Police believe there were joggers in the area – and are asking anyone who might have seen the suspect or the incident to give them a call. A 24-hour tip line has been set up for anyone with information. It's 519-255-6700 ext. 4305.
