Windsor police is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect, who allegedly stole a donation box from McDonald’s

Officers were dispatched to the restaurant in the 3100 block of Howard Avenue on Sept. 3, at roughly 1 a.m. Police say surveillance video shows a suspect at the counter for some time, before covering the Ronald McDonald charity box in a newspaper, and moving it to the fountain pop counter.

The suspect then returns to the main counter to receive his food. Investigators say the man eventually makes his way back to the other counter, fills up his beverage and leaves with the donation box.

The suspect is described as a white male, with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a grey hat, a white t-shirt and long blue shorts with white running shoes. He also used a multi-coloured recycle bag as a backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime stoppers.
