Members of Ontario’s Parliament will be met by protests when they meet in Windsor Tuesday for pre-budget consultations.

The protests will be addressing cuts to Ontario hospitals and social programs.

Last week CEO David Musyj of Windsor Regional Hospital says they plan to replace 80 Registered Nurses with 80 Registered Practical Nurses.

The net impact then is 86 job reductions overall due to a funding shortfall.

The Ontario Federation of Labour and the Ontario Common Front will join the Ontario Health Coalition in the protests.

The protests will begin at noon Tuesday outside Caesar’s Windsor.

There will be several speakers at the event including Chris Buckley, President of the Ontario Federation of Labour and Brian Hogan, President of the Windsor and District Labour Council.
