Following a visit by Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, PC and NDP members are set to visit Leamington in light of the Heinz closure announcement.
On Wednesday, Timiskaming-Cochrane NDP MPP John Vanthof, the party's agriculture, food and rural affairs critic, will be in the area to meet with local farmers and Leamington Mayor John Paterson.
Vanthof will be at Wayne Palichuk Farm, a Heinz grower, at 11 a.m. before meeting with Paterson in the afternoon.
Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Hudak is set to visit the municipality on Thursday, along with Chatham-Kent-Essex PC MPP Rick Nicholls.
They will be holding a town hall meeting to discuss the Heinz closure, and want to hear from the public.
The event is being held at 8 a.m. on Thursday, downstairs in the Leamington Masonic Temple at 3 John Street.
