Hundreds came out to see who would become the new Miss Tecumseh in the opening night of the Tecumseh Corn Festival.
Fourteen hopefuls graced the stage, but ultimately Tina Bonotto was crowned Miss Tecumseh 2015.
Organizers invited all former pageant winners to attend to celebrate the festival’s 40th anniversary.
"We've incorporated them in numerous ways,” says pageant director Chelsae Durocher. “Some are judging talent. We actually have Jennifer who was Miss Tecumseh 2000, she is a regular judge for us.”
Some of the former pageant winners weren't able to make it, but were included by submitting questions for the contestants.
About 10 former pageant winners took part - one crowned fifteen years ago.
"Some of them have just gone into their careers, some are moms, some are travelling the world some are in school,” says Durocher.
The corn festival continues until Sunday.
