U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Detroit Windsor Tunnel arrested a man wanted in Kansas in connection with a homicide.
The man was refused entry into Canada by Canada Border Services Agency officers.
Officers say the U.S. citizen possessed and presented a valid Arkansas driver’s license to CBSA in the name of Raymond Williams. Canadian officers refused entry to Williams based on immigration reasons.
When he was deferred to U.S. customs, officers say they conducted fingerprint checks and received a positive match for Lee Williams, who is wanted in Kansas in connection to a homicide in Wyandotte County, Kansas.
The Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Department was contacted. Williams was turned over to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department to face extradition to Kansas.
