Windsor police say they are looking for the driver after a hit and run that left a pedestrian with a broken leg.

The incident happened on Sept. 10 around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of 6th Concession and Holburn Street.

When police arrived on scene, paramedics were tending to a 22-year-old male lying on the roadway. He was taken to hospital with a broken right leg and cuts and abrasions on his right leg. His injuries are considered to be non-life threatening.

The victim told police he was travelling east on Holburn Street approaching 6th Concession, boarding home from a friend’s house.

He says he saw two vehicles approaching the intersection northbound on 6th Concession. The first vehicle stopped for the stop sign and proceeded through the intersection. The victim then proceeded into the intersection. Police say the second vehicle did not stop for the stop sign and struck the victim, knocking him to the ground.
