Chatham-Kent police say four people, including three teens are still recovering in hospital after a serious crash near Wallaceburg on Saturday.

Officers were called to Kimble Road, around 2:15 p.m., where a blue Volkswagen Golf crossed over the center line and struck a bridge railing abutment head-on. The driver and three passengers suffered injuries ranging from critical to moderate.

The 56-year-old male driver from Wallaceburg was critically injured and was transported to a Windsor hospital. Two 12-year-old boys also suffered critical injuries and were transported to hospital in London.

A 15-year-old boy suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a Chatham hospital. All four victims are still recovering in hospital.

The investigation into what caused the Golf to crash is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
