Windsor Fire and Rescue Services crews are investigating after a fire started on the roof of a Wyandotte Street restaurant.
Additional units were requested to Hot & Spicy House Chinese Cuisine in the 2000 block of Wyandotte Street West.
Chief fire prevention officer Lee Tome says roofers were working on the building Thursday morning. They have been called back for questioning.
He says people were inside the restaurant at the time, but they got outside safely. There’s no fire damage inside, only water damage from dousing the flames.
Police blocked traffic on Wyandotte between Bridge and Randolph avenues.
