An elderly woman who died Saturday after being struck by vehicle on Essex County Road 39, would walk that road daily, family say.
Alice Labute, 88, was hit in Lakeshore near Lighthouse Cove around 6 p.m. when she exited her vehicle. She was taken to hospital, where she died.
Her family says she lived in the area her whole life and spent the last 50 years in a home she shared with her daughter, just down the road from the collision.
The road was closed for several hours Saturday night.
The investigation has concluded and OPP say no charges will be laid.
