CS Wind says a gap between production orders is behind a planned six week shutdown announced on Friday.
The temporary shutdown would begin on July 25th and last until after Labour Day.
Statement from CS Wind Canada:
“CS Wind Canada expects to be very busy for the remainder of the year and next. The temporary shutdown is due to a timing issue in the scheduling of contracts,” says Donna Kinsman-Jackson, human resources and general affairs manager. “We value the positive rapport we have with our union representatives so the CS Wind Canada management team worked around the clock to pull some of these orders forward to avoid a summer shutdown, but they could not be moved ahead as we hoped.”
CS Wind Canada will spend the summer implementing preventive maintenance for the equipment and preparing for new major contracts beginning in September, scheduled to the end of 2016 and including 2017.
