Years after a fire ripped through Windsor’s downtown core, a bar that suffered significant damage has re-opened.
The Crazy Horse Saloon is once again offering karaoke and dancing in downtown Windsor.
The Ouellette Avenue business launched a soft opening last Thursday, after being closed for nearly three years.
“From ashes come some amazing results,” says Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association chair, Larry Horwitz.
In January 2011, a massive fire consumed the 400 block establishment causing upwards of $2-million in damage. Investigators would later rule the cause of the blaze to be arson. An arrest in that case has not yet been made.
A massive hole next to the Crazy Horse remains vacant, but Horwitz says that could change soon.
"They're going to create this entertainment complex. Maybe you've seen it in Miami, maybe you've seen it in L.A., but Windsor is going to get this."
CTV Windsor reached out to the owners of the bar for comment, but they were unavailable for an interview.
