As Canada celebrates its 150th birthday, there are plenty of events around Windsor-Essex over the long weekend.
Canada Day Parade – Windsor
Many residents will be celebrating Canada’s birthday with a parade. The Windsor parade starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Wyandotte and Devonshire. It runs along Wyandotte to Glengarry Avenue. The Leamington parade starts at 4 p.m. and starts at Leamington Fairgrounds and ends at Leamington Roma Club.
Canada 150 in Sound in Light
Canada 150 in Sound in Light is a multi Media presentation featuring live actors, video and live orchestra and additional musicians all celebrating our region and Canada's 150 Birthday. Sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and Heritage Canada July 1st at 7:30 pm and July 2nd at 2 pm and 7:30 pm. Free admission.

Alessia Cara
Singer-songwriter and multi-platinum recording artist Alessia Cara is coming to Caesars Windsor for an all-ages show. The 20-year-old initially gained worldwide success after she released her autobiographical debut single "Here" in April of 2015. Hit songs continued to follow with “Wild Things”, “How Far I’ll Go” and her most recent mega-hit “Scars To Your Beautiful.” She’s bringing special guests Ryland James and Tyler Shaw to the Colosseum. It’s an all-ages chow, but the casino says anyone under 12 years old needs to be accompanied by someone over 16. There are still a few tickets available.
Free Concert Series: Brass Quintet
Concert Series in the Park continues as the Windsor Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet performs. The show takes place on Sunday at Lakewood Park from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Admission is free.
