Ribbers coming from as far away as Southern United States were busy over hot grills, dishing out some lip-smacking goodness Thursday evening in Windsor.

Rome Lindsay from Bear Creek, Ky. was cooking his signature ribs in a smoker nicknamed "Christine", which handles nearly 200 ribs at a time. Those ribs may take as long as five hours to smoke properly.

Lindsay and his crew along with other cooks are fighting for the title of "Best Chicken", "Best Sauce" and the "People’s choice for Best Rib".

Besides judging, organizers have also planned entertainment including nightly stage shows.

Windsor Ribfest is on now at the city's festival plaza until Sunday evening.
