People were dressed up in classic costumes as they rode bicycles throughout Windsor on Saturday for the 2nd Annual Windsor Tweed Ride.

It featured old bikes -- and new bikes -- made from old parts.

For the past 55 years, Tim Laskey, has been crafting bicycles in what he likes to call "bike art."

"Three different bicycles to make the chain system...this is a water bottle holder made from an old filing cabinet...a lot of people favourite part of the bike is the lantern," says Laskey.

Some rides are vintage, dating back to the 1940s.

Tweed rides have become a worldwide phenomenon, starting in London, England

Laskey says, it's a perfect chance to reflect on our former lives.

"Today we are digging up the past for sure," he says.
