Environment Canada has lifted a tornado warning that was issued late Wednesday afternoon for Chatham-Kent and Rondeau Park.
Severe thunderstorm warnings for the region, including Windsor-Essex, have also been lifted.
Some residents reported seeing dark clouds and lightning with heavy downpours. One resident reported hail in the Forest Glade area of Windsor.
But there have been no reports of tornadoes touching down in the region.
Residents are reminded to take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches.
Tornado warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing tornadoes.
