Trees and power lines came down in parts of south Windsor as a storm swept through the city on Thursday evening.

Damage was spotted at Curry Avenue and Norfolk Street south of the E.C. Row Expressway as well as at Dougall Avenue and Beals Street where a tree and live power line blocked Dougall.

Eariler, a severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton.

Environment Canada warned a system moving into the region could develop into a dangerous thunderstorm that might be capable of producing damaging winds, hail and heavy rain.

The National Weather Service also issued a flash flood watch for parts of southeast Michigan and a flooding hazard warning was issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation for parts of the I-94.
