The numbers are in from the opening weekend for Windsor’s newest water park.
Adventure Bay Water Park saw 1,121 people attend over the course of the weekend, with patrons taking to the many attractions the facility offers. Saturday was the soft launch for the park, which marks a milestone for the city.
The opening also served fruitful for surrounding businesses. Owner of Bubi’s Awesome Eats, Buddy Miloyevich says they started turning away reservations Wednesday, ahead of Adventure Bay’s opening.
“We were busy, but we still had room for walk-ins which is great,” says Miloyevich. “We got large parties associated with the facility.”
The facility also saw 300 memberships sold, something that will keep people coming back to the downtown.
“We're expecting increased reservations and foot traffic,” he says. “You felt people are taking the opportunity to come back to this area. The benefit comes in a huge way.”
