The Detroit Zoo is looking to the public to help name their newest addition – a baby giraffe.

Earlier this month, zoo officials asked their followers over social media for a possible name for the newly born reticulated male giraffe.  More than 3,000 submissions were made, but the list has been dwindled down to five names.

The finalists are Mpenzi (“love”), Zawadi (“gift”), Ajabu (“wonderful”), Amani (“peace”) and Kijana (“young man”).

In order to vote, the zoo is asking for a $5 donation to help support giraffe conservation.  The name that raises the most money will be the winner.

The public can vote until midnight on Oct. 28 at the zoo’s website.
