Chatham-Kent police are investigating after money was stolen from two churches in separate incidents.

The first theft happened at the New Beginnings Churgh on Wellington Street West sometime between Sept. 14-21.

Investigators say the suspect(s) caused about $200 in damage inside the church and stole cash from the office.

The second theft, at St. Agnes Church on Croydon Street, happened between Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. and Sept. 22 at 7:30 a.m.

Once inside, police say the suspect(s) caused about $3,000 in damage to various offices and stole the offerings from the weekend masses.
