CTV News told you earlier this week about a break-in at Harmony in Action. Well some good news for the Windsor agency.

Local philanthropist Al Quesnel has donated $200,000 to the group.

The donation will go towards a number of projects, including indoor murals and summer activity programs.

It will also help buy a new vehicle to be used to transport participants for their outings, and go towards an accessible playground and fitness centre.

Harmony in Action offers day programs for adults with developmental or physical disabilities.

Executive Director Elizabeth Esposito calls the gift “an amazing Christmas present” for the participants.

Esposito tells CTV Windsor “a lot of our participants have very limited funds and so this money is going to go a long way in order to provide better programming for them.”

Just last month, the office was broken into and thief stole $1,400 worth of gift cards.
