A 50-year-old Chatham woman has succumbed to injuries sustained in a fire last month.
Chatham-Kent police say Evelyn Peltier died on Oct. 2 after the house fire on Park Street on Sept. 12 in Chatham.
She was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and later transferred to a burn unit at a Hamilton.
The Chatham-Kent Fire Department battled the blaze and extinguished it. The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal was called in investigate.
