CAW raises over $57K in food bank challenge

Canadian Auto Workers officials are praising the community after a large amount of money and food was raised for charity.

The Local 200/444 challenge for the food banks contributed $57,360 to the cause. In the campaign, the union called on people to donate, promising to match any amount up to $10,000.

CAW Local 444 posted the message “Way to go” on its Facebook page Monday.

The union posted that the Lawyers Association is continuing the challenge because the need is there all year long.
