A book published in Windsor has made the shortlist for a prestigious Canadian literary award.

Catherine Leroux's The Party Wall, published at Biblioasis, has been named a finalist for the $100,000 Scotiabank Giller Prize.

This is the second year in a row that the press has published a Giller finalist, and the only other independent press (other than Toronto-based House of Anansi) to secure a spot on the shortlist.

The Montreal-based novelist will receive $10,000 for making the cut.

There are six shortlisted titles. The winner will be announced on Nov. 7.
