A Salvation Army volunteer has been asked to stop ringing her bells.

The Sally Ann tells CTV News that a long-time volunteer was asked to stop ringing her bells inside of a Zehrs store because it was disruptive to an employee who works nearby.

The Salvation Army says it made the choice to remove the bells and was not forced to do so.

This isn't the first time bells have been removed.  The Sally Ann says it's happened in many other communities before, just not Windsor.

The organization also began using fewer bells in recent years to make the noise quieter.
