Windsor Fire and Rescue Services officials say a fire at Our Lady of the Rosary church Thursday morning was intentionally set.

Damage is estimated at about $5,000.

The blaze broke out about 7:30 a.m. at the church on Riverside Dr. Fire officials believe an accelerant was thrown into a basement window. The damage is contained to the basement.

Fire crews were still working to remove smoke late Thursday morning. Windsor police are also investigating.
