Windsor hospital officials are urging there will be no change to where patients access services, now that the city’s two hospitals have officially realigned.
Effective Oct. 1, Windsor Regional Hospital is responsible for hospital services at the Metropolitan campus and the Ouellette campus - formerly Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital.
The renamed Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare will be responsible for services at the Tayfour campus.
“We tried to make the work that actually happened on October 1st not impact the system and just use that as a day so we can move forward," says Windsor Regional CEO David Musyj.
Despite these changes, it will be business as usual for patients, say officials. The programs and services at each location do not change. For patients with appointments at any of these sites, there is no change to the location where you go for that appointment.
